When it came to attention in 2003 that members of the LGBTQ+ community were being abused, attacked, bullied, harassed and assaulted, we felt compelled to a Personal Safety course specifically for lesbian groups, gay groups, transgender groups, etc. to help each of these groups deal with the types of abuse and violence their members were experiencing.
To date, we have provided our award-winning training to various organisations and groups across Scotland including:
We are extremely proud to have had the empowering effects of this training nationally recognised and they contributed towards us winning the “Diversity in the Third Sector” award at The Herald & GenAnalytics Diversity Awards 2018; the “Empowerment Champions” award at The Scottish Diversity Awards 2019; the “Community Organisation – multi-strand” award at The National Diversity Awards 2020; and The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2020 for “empowering vulnerable people and saving lives through bespoke Personal Safety training since 1997”.
