Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, we are delighted to announce that we have received funding from the People’s Postcode Trust to enable us to develop a Personal Safety course for People with Learning Disabilities.
This funding will allow us to work with members of Down’s Syndrome Scotland to further develop our existing course to cover people with mild and moderate, possibly in some case, severe, learning disabilities. We also hope to train people to become the UK’s first self defence Instructors with Down’s Syndrome.
